Nasi to Coordinate European Research about ICT-Driven Innovation in Public Sectors
Bocconi's Centre for Research on Health and Social Care Management (CERGAS) will lead a work package of LIPSE (Learning from Innovation in Public Sector Environments), an international research project funded with € 2.5 million by the 7th Framework Program of the European Commission.
The project, which studies the drivers and barriers of successful social innovation in the public sector, is coordinated by Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam. It started on February 1st, 2013 and will run for 42 months in 11 European countries (Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Romania, Slovakia, Spain and the United Kingdom) thanks to the involvement of 12 academic partners.
Greta Nasi (CERGAS and Department ofPolicy Analysis and Public Management) is the coordinator of the "Adoption, Diffusion and Upscaling of ICT Driven Innovations"work package, which will last 36 months. The work package tackles the dominant role of information and communications technologies in innovation processes in public sectors. It aims at empirically identifying specific drivers and barriers in two policy fields through six European countries and at developing policy guidelines to be used to improve adoption, diffusion and upscaling of ICT-driven innovations.
