Michele Polo New Director of Iefe Bocconi

The Professor of Economics will direct the Centre for Research on Energy and Environmental Economics and Policy

Michele Polo, Full professor of Economics in Bocconi and Vice Rector for Organization since 2008, is the new director of Iefe Bocconi, the Centre for Research on Energy and Environmental Economics and Policy.

He succeeds Clara Poletti, Iefe director since 2006.

Former head of the Department of Economics and of the Institute of Economics at Bocconi, Polo is Chief Editor of the 'Giornale degli Economisti e Annali di Economia' and has taught at the Università di Sassari. He is fellow of Igier Bocconi and has been visiting fellow at University College London and Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

"The intention is to proceed in continuity with the direction of Clara Poletti and according to the guide lines set by the University," says Polo. "In particular, combining applied research with the ability to publish in international publications, working in network with the main international research centers and maintaining relations with the sector's stakeholders."
