Maurizio Zollo Is the New EURAM President
Maurizio Zollo, Department of Management and Technology and CROMA, is the new president of EURAM, the European Academy of Management – the self-defined association for anyone with a professional interest in the field of management.
He was proclaimed at the 11th EURAM Conference (Tallinn, 1st-4th June 2011) and succeeds Morten Huse, BI Norwegian School of Management. Zollo, along with the fellow Bocconian Alfonso Gambardella, is editor of the European Management Review (EMR) since 2009.
Zollo has been elected on the back of a five-point program including quality (being recognized by the international commmunity of management scholars for the outstanding quality in academic research, especially on themes and with methodologies distinctive of the European context, cultural variety and academic traditions); real debate on the most relevant themes in management research and practice; leading journal (establishing the EMR as one of the top ranked general management journals); engaged scholarship (creating innovative ways to design, conduct and communicate management research on the basis of real engagement of practitioners and their stakeholders throughout the process, rather than just at the data collection stage); large-scale, collaborative research (enhancing the capacity of the community to initiate, fund, design and execute large-scale, collaborative, multi-disciplinary research).
