Manuela Brusoni Program Chair of Academy of Management's MED Division

The position leads to cover, in the next five years, all the Division's leadership roles, up to Division Chair

Manuela Brusoni has been elected Program Chair of the Academy of Management (AOM)'s MED (Management Education and Development) Division. MED's purpose includes encouraging and conducting research related to educating and developing managers and promoting the interchange of ideas, research and other information among those interested in educating and developing managers. The most recent innovative initiative set up thanks to MED's contribution is the launch of the pilot edition of TLC@AOM Teaching and Learning Conference, to be held in August 2013 in Orlando, Florida, prior to the 10,000-participant strong AOM Annual Meeting.

The turnout at the polls that elected Brusoni was the highest of the past four years, thanks to the high qualifications of all candidates. The position of Program Chair Elect leads to cover, in the next five years, other MED's leadership positions, up to Division Chair. One reason for the choice of Brusoni has been her experience in executive education as SDA Bocconi School of Management senior professor, as quality systems and accreditation officer since 1998, responsible for SDA relations with AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB, and as Chair of the MSc Commission of ASFOR, the Italian association of management education.
