Magda Antonioli Joins ENIT Board
Magda Antonioli, Professor of Economics and Tourism Policy at Bocconi University, has been appointed a member of the board of directors of ENIT, the Italian National Tourism Agency. The appointment of Antonioli, says the decree signed by the Minister Gian Marco Centinaio, was decided «after hearing the most representative trade organizations».
At the same time as Prof. Antonioli, Sandro Pappalardo, Councillor for Tourism of the Region of Sicily, joins ENIT's board of directors as an expression of the State Regions Conference. The two councilors will work alongside the President, Giorgio Palmucci, in office since February, in a board of three people.
Author of over 50 scientific publications, Prof. Antonioli was co-founder of Bocconi's Master in economia del turismo, which she directed for many years, and is currently Director of the MSc in Economics and Management in Arts, Culture, Media and Entertainment. She has held numerous institutional positions, including that of special adviser for tourism to the EU Commissioner for Industry and Entrepreneurship, Antonio Tajani (2011-2014) and that of member of the Permanent Technical Committee of the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Dario Franceschini, for the implementation of the National Strategic Plan for Tourism (2015-2018).
