Luigi Iovino, a New Assistant Professor from MIT

He strengthens the Department of Economics

After obtaining a PhD in Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Luigi Iovino joins Bocconi faculty in the academic year 2012-2013 as an assistant professor for the Department of Economics.

Iovino graduated in Economics, Statistics and Social Sciences from Università Bocconi in 2005 and he won first a full scholarship for PhD tuition at London School of Economics (2005-2006) and then a Crivelli scholarship from the Fondazione Unicredit for a PhD at MIT (2006-2008). He has been a research and teaching assistant at MIT since 2008 and he obtained a PhD last June with the dissertation Essays in Macroeconomics: Information and Financial Markets.

His research interests concern the fields of macroeconomics and finance.
