Leonardo Borlini New Assistant Professor
A former researcher of Paolo Baffi Centre and a research fellow in EU Law at Università Bocconi, Leonardo Borlini officially enters the Department of Legal Studies with the qualification of assistant professor in the academic year 2012-2013.
A graduate cum laude first in Economics from Università Bocconi, then in Law from Università di Pavia, in 2007 Borlini obtained a master in law from Cambridge University and in 2008 a PhD in International Law and Economics in Bocconi.
A member of SDA Bocconi faculty, Borlini also taught at Università degli Studi di Milano, Università LUISS di Roma and Università LIUC di Castellanza. A researcher of the Centre for Macroeconomics and Finance Research (CeMaFir), his research activity focuses on the field of EU law, market competition and protection, economic services regulation.
His professional experiences include an internship at European Commission (2010) and another one for the Italian Competition Authority (2009). In 2001 he was part of the Italian delegation at the OECD Working Group on Bribery against corruption in international business transactions. In 2011 he was an independent reviewer of World Bank's PAM initiative on conflict of interests. Since 2011 he is a technical assistant expert at the International Monetary Fund for the program against tax evasion and money laundering.
