Homecoming 2025: a Global Community Coming “Home”
Three days of meetings, excitement and sharing. Homecoming 2025 brought more than 4,000 alumni and companions from 67 countries around the world back to Bocconi, transforming the campus into a crossroads of experiences, languages and success stories.
From theaters to courtyards, from lectures to evening parties, there was an atmosphere of energy and belonging everywhere: the feeling of coming home, but also of being part of something that continues to grow and change the future.
“It was an extraordinary moment of connection and inspiration,” commented Rector Francesco Billari. “Homecoming is not just a symbolic return, but a concrete gesture of collective participation in building the future of Bocconi.”
The three-day event also marked the official launch of the “A Place for the Future“ fundraising campaign, which turns every contribution into support to deserving students and research. In its silent phase (2021-2024), the initiative has already raised about 70 million euros from more than 5,700 donors, toward the goal of 200 million by 2030.
Along with networking events and reunions, the program offered conversations with faculty, international meetings, cultural and sports events, as well as the Research Celebration, dedicated to honoring research excellence.
More than 100 speakers including alumni, faculty, experts and international leaders took the stage to discuss economics, technology, social impact and global governance, making Homecoming also a laboratory of ideas for the future.
During the opening night event, the Alumni Awards 2025 were presented to Elena Goitini, Alisée de Tonnac and Adama Sanneh, examples of leadership, innovation and social engagement.
The weekend ended with a Farewell Party full of enthusiasm and gratitude, sealing the idea that the Bocconi community is not just a network, but a living, global force, capable of building tomorrow together.
