The dean of Bocconi's Law School nominated member of the club created to think about the new European Law Institute

Giovanni Iudica, professor of Civil Law and Dean of the Bocconi School of Law, has been nominated member of ELIA, Association for a European Law Institute.

"ELIA is an association which gathers various European jurists who met in the Von Bar Commission," explains Iudica, "created to move towards the creation of a European civil code. Now, having concluded, some members have been called into this association which has the objective of initiating a Europe-wide debate on the desirability and feasibility of a European Law Institute which would as its core activities and aims comment on existing and forthcoming EU and international legislation and enhance pan-European research in private and public law. On the basis of the results of this debate would then be elaborated concrete proposals for a European Law Institute and in particular on its tasks and organization"
