Francesco Perrini Elected Academy of Business in Society's Vice-Chair
Francesco Perrini (SDA Bocconi and Department of Management and Technology) has been elected vice-chair of Academy of Business in Society (EABIS)'s management board, in the 10th anniversary of the leading society for scholars of corporate social responsibility, sustainability and strategic management and for companies committed to the same values. The voters were the deans of the participating business schools.
Perrini has been elected as representative of SDA Bocconi School of Management, where he's Professor of Corporate and Real Estate Finance and director of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Unit. He's also director of Università Bocconi's Center for Research on Sustainability and Value (CRESV).
EABIS is a network of more than 100 business schools and companies from more than 20 countries (including UK, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Australia, United States, China, Netherlands, Spain, South Africa, Switzerland and Turkey) and a wide range of disciplines (business ethics, social responsibility, sustainability, ethical finance, social entrepreneurship,philantropy, communication and strategic management).
The management board, chaired by Gilbert Lenssen (non-elected), is a body of 13 elected members, who meet three to four times a year to take decisions on all matters relevant to the achievement of EABIS' objectives. Perrini has been appointed vice-chair as the candidate who received most votes.
