Francesca and Her Community in Verona
Six hundred alumni are in the province, about eighty regularly attend large events, with four main areas of activity: this is a summary of the numbers for the BAA's Verona Area, which, since the group's re-founding after a break a few years, has been led by Francesca Piantavigna, architect and Bocconi alumna.
The sectors the Verona alumni focuses on, which has organized 20 events during two and a half years, are employment, marketing, local companies and culture. In the first area, recent events were on personal development and job interview techniques, while in marketing the biggest event was the Dinner Speech with Dean of SDA Bocconi, Bruno Busacca, on 19 February. For cultural events, "in late January we discussed women's issues in Tehran with the writer and journalist specialized in the Middle East, Farian Sabahi. Along with the Trento Area, we also combined culture and a focus on entrepreneurial companies in the area by visiting the Science Museum in Trento (MUSE) and Ferrari wine cellars, led by the President of the Group Matteo Lunelli," says Piantavigna.
The group is planning more events for the immediate future: "We're continuing appointments dedicated to employability and we'll also spend time on real estate, with a meeting in November on developing decommissioned industrial sites." According to the Area Leader, there are lots of ideas and events that "are made possible thanks to the great spirit of cooperation that motivates us. All the proposals that we develop are created due to the interest and needs that emerge within the group."
