Bocconi's Professor among the winners of Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2012

Every year the international publisher Emerald invites each journal's editorial team to nominate the Outstanding Papers from the previous twelve months.

Andrea Colli's (Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management) research paper entitled Business History in Family Business Studies: from Neglect to Cooperation, published in Journal of Family Business Management, Vol. 1 Iss: 1, pp. 14-25 (DOI: 10.1108/20436231111122254), has been decorated with the Highly Commended Award in occasion of Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2012.

"It is an article in which I show how business history can turn out to be a useful analytic tool for scholars in family business studies", Colli says. "In particular, I focus on those issues currently at the center of research on family business (performances, succession, longevity, core competences, corporate social responsibility, etc.) and I show how the long-term and comparative approach that is peculiar to historians can not only give useful empirical evidence, but also provide an ultimate test for the abstract models".

Colli's paper has been selected as it was "one of the most impressive pieces of work the team has seen throughout 2011"; it will be added shortly on the publisher's website (www.emeraldinsight.com/literati) and it will be freely available there for three months.
