BIF. The Fair of International Opportunities at Bocconi
259 leading Partner Schools worldwide, 4044 outgoing students and 1642 incoming students from Partner Schools in 2015 and 25.5% of MSc graduates employed abroad. Internationalization is one of the pillars of Bocconi University, which offers different work and study opportunities abroad, and, along with these, all the tools needed to choose the right international program according to one's path and ambitions. One of these tools is the Bocconi International Fair (BIF), event to be held on February 9 from 10am to 7pm in via Roentgen 1, which will include a series of presentations, meetings, conferences and roundtables to allow students and graduates to learn in detail about all the study and work abroad opportunities.
Some of the study abroad programs (Campus abroad, Exchange program) will be introduced and described during two presentations, both to be held in the aula Magna of via Roentgen. One presentation (from 10:30 to 11:30am), will be addressed to all undergraduate, graduate and law students who've decided to experience an Exchange or a Campus Abroad. The other presentation (from 1:30 to 2:30pm) will be dedicated to all freshmen. A special presentation (from 3 to 4pm, classroom AS03) will be reserved to all students of International Politics and Government (BIG), for whom the participation in the Exchange program is mandatory. In addition, for most of the day (between 11.30am and 4pm), in the Foyer of the aula Magna, several students who have already done their exchange will be ready to tell their experiences, to give some useful tips and clear any doubts.
Concerning the work abroad theme, there will be the International Career Spacelab, an area where students can meet Bocconi representatives, to ask for advice and submit their CVs. There will also be an area dedicated to One-to-One Sessions on the International Job Markets, where students can ask, during a 20-minutes individual interview, information on the labor market, open positions and on the skills required to work in one or two specific countries (among the 13 available). This last opportunity will be reserved to students who have previously registered.
The day will end, from 6 to 7pm at piazza Sraffa 13 (room N01) with a round table on the subject of international careers, during which participants will receive information and advice on what to do to start a successful international career from Bocconi Alumni who have studied and worked abroad.
