Baia Curioni, Important Appointment in Mantua, 2016 Capital of Culture

The Bocconi professor will be head of the International Center for Art in Culture at Palazzo Te for the next five years. Cristina Mottironi is also on the academic committee

Stefano Baia Curioni, Vice President of the ASK Center (Art, Science and Knowledge) at Bocconi, has been appointed Chairman of the International Center for Art and Culture at Palazzo Te, in Mantua. The association aims to be a hub for the production of culture, promoting exhibitions as well as expanding and diversifying cultural opportunities.

"This appointment has occurred at a time when Mantua and its cultural and tourism activities are being particularly promoted and developed, during the year it has been proclaimed Italian Capital of Culture," explains Baia Curioni. "I will have the task of drawing up a plan of action focused on cultural activities." In his role, to which he has been appointed for five years, Baia Curioni will be supported by an academic committee he has nominated in accordance with the mayor.

The academic committee will include: Giovanni Agosti (Università degli Studi di Milano), Cristiana Collu (Director, Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna in Rome), Umberto Angelini (General Manager and Artistic Director, Teatro Grande di Brescia), Francesca Colombo (Head of Culture, Expo Milano) and Cristina Mottironi (Bocconi University).
