AOM: Cennamo Publishes among the Best Paper Proceedings
What kind of economic system should we look at today to overcome the crisis experienced by the Western countries? Is the capitalist system still the best one? If not, what are the alternatives? These are the main questions faced by the 73rd Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management, that this year will be held in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, from August 9th – 13th, and that will address the issue of 'Capitalism in Question'.
On the occasion of AOM's Annual Meeting, Carmelo Cennamo (Department of Management and Technology) will present the paperTowards an Integrated Perspective on Platform Market Competition, written with Ivanka Visnjic (ESADE Business School), that was judged one of the best accepted papers by the AOM's committee and therefore will be published among the Best Paper Proceedings of the 2013 Academy of Management Meeting.
The paper shows the effects of business models' innovations on market competition and particularly the effects of platform envelopment strategies, that will increasingly lead to theconvergence of neighboring markets and emergence of a supra-platform market, where diverse platform players co-habitate.
Carmelo Cennamo is Assistant Professor for the Department of Management and Technology, where he teaches Entrepreneurship and Business Planning.
