Andrea Resti Vice-Chairperson of EBA's Banking Stakeholders Group

Elected on 30 October at the first meeting of the newly appointed group

The European Banking Authority (EBA)'s Banking Stakeholders Group (BSG) has elected Andrea Resti (Department of Finance) as its Vice-Chairperson. The election took place during the first meeting of the newly appointed EBA's BSG on 30 October 2013.

The EBA's BSG is composed of 30 members appointed to represent in balanced proportions credit and investment institutions operating in the Union, their employees' representatives as well as consumers, users of financial services and representatives of SMEs. The Group's role is to help facilitate consultation with stakeholders in areas relevant to the tasks of the EBA.

During the same meeting the BSG group also re-elected David Llewellyn as its Chairperson. Llewellyn, Professor of Money and Banking at Loughborough University, UK, had served as Chairperson of the BSG in its former configuration until the expiry of its mandate in September this year.
