Andrea Colli Chandler Fellow at Harvard Business School
The bad news is that Bocconi is going to miss Andrea Colli (Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management) for some months next fall; the good news is that in those months the business history professor will act as Alfred D. Chandler Jr. International Visiting Scholar in Business History at Harvard Business School (HBS).
The Chandler International Visiting Scholar program "invites established scholars in business history based outside the United States", HBS website explains, "to spend a period of time in residence at Harvard Business School. The Chandler International Visiting Scholar is expected to interact with faculty and researchers, present work at research seminars, and conduct business history research". The program requires a two-month minimum length of stay and a six-month maximum one.
Andrea Colli has obtained the fellowship thanks to a project about the role of the state as company owner or shareholder, both in developing and advanced countries. "I'm going to work on it with HBS business history faculty", Colli says, "and especially with Geoffrey Jones and Aldo Musacchio".
