100,000 Alumni Around the Globe: Join the Community!
For Daniele Bellavita, who graduated seven decades ago, to be a Bocconi Alumnus has always been a reason for pride. For Eleonora Bosio, who graduated in July earning her Bachelor in International economics and Finance, it means the possibility of taking advantage of the services that the Bocconi Alumni Association (BAA) makes available to its members and joining a transnational network that represents Bocconi across the world. For Bellavita, "Bocconi means the best years of my life, and since that time the University has consistently shown that my pride is well-placed". For Eleonora, it also means "the chance to remain in contact with former colleagues, thanks to the events organized by the alumni".
These are two visions describing a Bocconi community in perpetual movement, which gains in strength each year thanks to its alumni. Today, there 100,000 Bocconi alumni around the world, coordinated by International Chapters, Italian Areas and Topic Groups. It's a community based on a common sense of belonging, which gives alumni the opportunity of establishing (or re-establishing) important personal and professional relationships wherever they are, as it emerges from the video interview with BAA presidentRiccardo Monti and alumnus Lorenzo Cinelli, hereby posted. This video clip launches the new membership campaign, and is the first of five episodes describing the BAA which will be released in the course of the next few months.
Many opportunities await those who decide to become members: BAA Career Advice initiatives (mentoring, professional updates, access to the GoinGlobal portal etc.), dedicated events, including dinner speeches with the main movers in the world of economics, finance, and entrepreneurship. Not to mention several partnerships with business and non-profit institutions, and exclusive access to the MintGlobal Mobile database, which collects information on corporations, banks, and insurance companies from all over the world, or the complete EBSCO – Business Data Source, and other services.
Also, in addition to the various initiatives organized by the association, BAA members have a right to a 30% discount on the Executive Courses offered by SDA Bocconi School of Management, and discounts on digital subscriptions to ilSole24Ore, Corriere della Sera, and Gazzetta dello Sport.
