The World Is Coming to Bocconi Summer School
Looking at the nationalities of the 146 students attending the first Bocconi Summer School feels like a trip around the world. In fact there are students from 42 countries (103 universities) enrolled in a Bachelor program held in the University's classroom for the next three weeks.
It starts with the A of Albania, Australia and Austria to the V of Vietnam through China, Ecuador, Kenya, Sweden and Ukraine, hopping among among the countries of the five continents. And it is the international experience, the encounter between students with different backgrounds, that is one of the key characteristics of the summer school that offers four different classes on a wide range of topics: Economics of european union, Equity and venture capital financing, Luxury management and Sports management.
"The experience of the Summer School for undergraduate students represents a further option for international mobility that major business schools include in their offer. Bocconi presents itself with an array of courses which highlight the many characteristics which distinguish the Italian system and the European system, supported by a mix of very attractive company visits and the use of the latest teaching technology", said Stefano Caselli, Vice Rector for International Affairs.
But, the Bocconi Summer school is not just a matter of lectures. During the three weeks in fact students will be involved in a business game and visits to companies and institutions (from Franciacorta Winery and Unicredit Group to Inter Milan, Inter Campus in San Siro Stadium and the Italcementi Group R & D Lab, to name a few), and of course Expo 2015.
