A Violin and Piano Duo for a Concert at Bocconi

The concert of Francesca Bonaita and Nicola Garibaldi will be held on Thursday 3 May at 9pm in the Aula Magna at Via Gobbi 5

Francesca Bonaita on violin and Nicola Garibaldi on piano will take the stage in the Aula Magna of Via Gobbi 5 at 9pm for a concert organized by ISU Bocconi in collaboration with Furcht Pianoforti.

The program, in two parts, is as follows:

Johann Sebastian Bach, Sonata n. 1 BWV 1001 in G minor for solo violin Adagio | II Fugue | Siciliana III | IV Presto

Niccolò Paganini, Capricci n. 2 and 10 op. 1 for solo violin

Eugène Ysaye, Sonata n. 3 op. 27 for solo violin, Ballade

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Concerto n. 5 KV219 in A major for violin and piano

Igor Stravinsky, from Suite Italienne for violin and piano Introduction | I Serenade | III Tarantella

Manuel De Falla, Fritz Kreisler, Dance espagnole from "La vida breve" for violin and piano

Francesca Bonaita, graduated at the age of seventeen with honors at the G. Verdi Conservatory of Milan,winning the Pina Carmirelli Award as best violinist of the academic year. Winner of numerous competitions, she plays in major musical inst itutions and theaters worldwide. In 2016, she was assigned, the 2016 Young Italy Award (Music section).

Nicola Garibaldi, graduated in piano at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Turin, carried out also studies of
composition, organ and didactics of music. He held concerts in important Italian and foreign institutions. He carries out his teaching activity at the A. Vivaldi Conservatory of Alessandria and is the author of essays dedicated to piano teaching
