The season for the student web TV group is closing down and will return in September

After the final of B Talent, the first edition of 18 e lode came to a close yesterday: 12 short episodes talking about student life in Bocconi's classrooms and hallways. The last episode of the sitcom produced by B Students TV went online on 14 June. After two years, the web TV group of Bocconi students, which began in February 2010, the staff of B Students TV are happy with results: their programming includes around 10 shows, the staff includes around 50 members and the group has had impressive press coverage, with mentions on websites for leading newspapers.

Not everyone may remember that in August 2011 B Students TV was recognized by Blink 182 during the "Blink 182 Film festival you didn't know you entered", that the first Bocconi student film, Non è tempo per noi, was reviewed on Repubblica.it or that the sitcom 18 e lode was mentioned on the Corriere della Sera website as a "web phenomenon."

But first things first. The group was started in February 2010, based on an idea by Giuseppe Pantò, the head of Corporate Image, Publications and Web at the University, who, along with Paola Dubini, assigned Neri Bastiancich, an ACME student at the time, with the role of editorial coordinator of the project. During the project's first year, the new television channel didn't have a schedule and it was limited to playing the role of loudspeaker for university events. Since then, 4 directors have run the show, and things have changed. "We wanted to launch a schedule," explains Diego Tartaglia, the director who has been in office since 1 September of last year. "And 18 e lode was our first testing." Because of the positive results of the experiment, the staff decided to continue along the same path by increasing the number of programs: other shows have been inserted, such as Candid Camera, the classic joke format, Pop Corn, a weekly film review by Alessandro Valbonesi and Maria Luigia Vinciguerra and the talent show B Talent in the entertainment section; Un boccone... e via!, a cooking and fashion show, in the lifestyle section; Monos, an in-depth look at current events, Exchange your mind, double interviews with students on exchange programs at international universities and Quattro chiacchiere con Ferdinando, a talk show which takes place in front of the Ferdinando Bocconi statue, where outstanding students are interviewed, in the journalism section.

Now that the B Students TV season is closing, Diego would like to leave fans with a promise: a lipdub video is on its way. "We will go in many different directions in the future," says Diego. "in addition to keeping our programming from this year, we will focus on more interactive formats: a documentary with B.E.St. (Bocconi Equal Students) on HIV prevention and a project that we love, called L'Enigma. But that project is still under wraps!"
