The new BAA On-Campus Vice President, a 24-year-old EMIT student, tells his story

His name is Tudor Carstoiu, he's 24 years old and attending his first year of the Master of Science in Economics and Management of Innovation and Technology (EMIT), and he's the new On-Campus Vice President for the Bocconi Alumni Association. He was chosen from among the Master of Science students (and students in their last two years of the Law program) who applied over the summer with an application letter and at least 100 signatures from student classmates. Tudor was born in Arad, Romania, and came to Italy 4 years ago to attend the Bachelor in International Economics, Management and Finance at Bocconi. Since then he has kept himself busy. In addition to his standard classes, he attended interdisciplinary courses organized by the Campus Life office at the University, including philosophy and geopolitics, and courses on assertiveness and public speaking organized by CESDIA Bocconi. He performed in three musicals: Across the Universe, Chicago and Kashmir with the Bocconi theater association (ACTMB) and participated in the program 'Un giorno da exchange' with BStudentsTV. He founded the Bocconi International Sahaj Students Association (BISSA), to promote Sahaja Yoga meditation techniques, and is part of the University water polo team. Social entrepreneurship will be in his future, a path he would like to undertake after completing his studies. "I have experienced life at Bocconi to the fullest and the University has made available many tools to develop my abilities," says Tudor. "Now I would like to share my knowledge and experience and give back some of what I've been given." On his objectives in his role within the BAA, he already knows what he wants: "What I can bring to the association most importantly is practical knowledge of the student community, a key aspect for making connections with future alumni. My objective is to focus on international aspects, improving synergies between the student associations with this component and the BAA."
