A Trip Through Italian and European Culture: the Grand Tour of MAMA
Are you passionate about art and culture and would like to pursue a managerial career in this field? SDA Bocconi is launching a new program: MAMA, Master in Arts Management and Administration. This specialist course is aimed at participants between 25 and 35 years old with degrees in the humanities who have already had some experience in the art world, collaborating with museums, theaters, festivals or other cultural institutions.
It will have a duration of 15 months full time (October to December), and application is already open. The Master is taught entirely in English and aims to give students the opportunity to acquire theoretical and practical managerial skills. The program, in fact, in addition to traditional classroom lectures with business school faculty, also offers meetings, seminars and field projects with partner institutions . These include Fai (Fondo ambiente italiano), the Philarmonic of Teatro alla Scala and MUVE (Fondazione musei civici di Venezia). An integral part of the new Master program is the Grand Tour, a journey with stops in the major centers of the Italian culture such as Venice, Florence, Rome, Naples, and of course Milan.
"To support artistic innovation and promote the dissemination of culture," says Alex Turrini, Director of the Master in Arts Management and Administration (MAMA), "is only possible if you are able to combine passion and respect for the art with entrepreneurial and managerial skills. MAMA is a unique program in the world, international but deeply Italian, which harmoniously combines the cultural and artistic splendor of our country with the excellence of SDA Bocconi in management education".
