For the eleventh year tournaments and other events, all branded Bocconi Sport Team.It has become a traditional event that testifies to the growth of the sports movementwithin the University

Books in your bag or backpack, clothes in the closet, and get out your track suits, T-shirts, shorts and sneakers. Now at their eleventh edition, Bocconi Sports Day, scheduled for Wednesday, 20 April starting at 10am, is the highlight of the rich panorama of sporting events held each year by the Bocconi Sport Team. A festival of sport under the sign of the Pelican, which this year is back in the heart of the campus in the areas around the Velodrome and the Via Roentgen building, after last season when it took place in Ravizza Park. As always, the main events will be 3vs3 tournaments in
soccer, basketball and mixed volleyball, but there will also be many side events,
including the table tennis tournament, but also demonstrations of lacrosse, chess,
soccer, board games and much more. New this year are demonstrations of Holahoop Dance and Piloxing by the MoveOn Performing Arts Academy. "It 'a different day, where you play and watch others play and take a break from university commitments, "says Matteo Costantini, of Pinerolo, He is enrolled in the second year of the MSc in Management, which last year competed in the football tournament. "This year I will participate again, I cannot wait to get back on the field. Meanwhile with my team I am in the semifinals in the Bocconi Soccer Cup and I defend the colors of the University 11-man football team playing in the team that participates in competitions organized by CUS".

The competitive aspect, however, is not the most important part of this event. At least that is the belief of Andrea Acquas, a student from Cagliari enrolled in the second year of Law and member of the 5-a-side soccer team University engaged in the C2 league. "Last year my companions and I won the 3-a-side soccer tournament, but it was above all a beautiful sports day, an important opportunity to get together, and anyway sports are a great vehicle for gathering people together. I was involved to the point that this year, in addition to defending the title, I will also be involved in the organization".

Bocconi Sport Day now represents a tradition at the University and sports do base much of their popularity on traditions: "This event, which is a real party, it was organized by us for the first time and later was extended to many other universities, which now also have their day dedicated to sport, "says executive vice president of Sports Team, Alessandro Ciarlo, "a moment of unique cohesion between practitioners of different sports and classmates, and which by the way this year will end with an aperitif open to participants and spectators alike". As it regards the Sports Team overall, it is a very healthy organization with many sports represented and a few moments of excellence regarding competitive results: "I obviously think about lacrosse, where we are national champions, but also about more popular sports, such as basketball and men's volleyball, currently in the C league and fighting for promotion. We are very proud of these results, especially when I think that a group like our basketball team is the only purely amateur team in the league where we play. That kind of achievement is made possible when everyone is fully commitment. "
