The Social Enterprise at Bocconi
Giorgio Fiorentini (Department of Institutional Analysis an Public Management and CERGAS) chaired the committee which selected 65 papers for the fifth edition of the Colloquio scientifico annuale sull'impresa sociale, the colloquium on social enterprise organized by Iris Network (Istituti di ricerca sull'impresa sociale), a network of 25 Italian universities, and CERGAS at Università Bocconi (May, 20-21, via Roentgen 1).
"Università Bocconi has been covering the subject of social enterprise for 25 years", Fiorentini says, "and in the last year the importance of the social enterprise has been widely acknowledged both in Italy and in Europe. Even the Single Market Act would hardly work without social enterprises".
The role of the social enterprise in the European market will be the topic of the first of the three plenary moments of a colloquium divided into 12 sessions. A videointerview with Mario Monti will be discussed by Felice Scalvini (Iris Network) and Carlo Secchi (Università Bocconi).
