Sironi Meets US Alumni
On 8 October, Bocconi flies to America: Andrea Sironi, Rector of the University, will be a special guest during an evening organized by the New York Chapter of the Bocconi Alumni Association, led by Carlo Mantica, founder and president of the management consulting company ManticaVentures.
The event, one of the traditional monthly meetings of the group, is more than just an evening of celebration. Professor Sironi will discuss goals reached and what Università Bocconi is today in Italy and abroad, but most importantly he will explain one of the strategic objectives for the University's internationalization: to remain close to the community, wherever it is around the world. "Our objective is to continue strengthening ties between the University and the alumni community, thus boosting the sense of belonging that sets us apart," says Gianfranco Minutolo, Director of the BAA. "It also means increasing our association's presence abroad, in part because we envision increased support from alumni in the process of making the University more international." The event, open to alumni and their guests, will be held at 7pm at the Columbus Citizens Foundation (8 E 69th St., New York). For registration and costs www.alumnibocconi.com
