Ratan Tata and John Elkann Launch the Agnelli Professorship

The first awardee of the Professorship, Chiara Fumagalli , will present its research program. Rata Tata will be interviewed by the Deputy Director of the Sole- 24 Ore , Alexander Plateroti .

Business groups are widespread in the world and play a vital role in the global economy , but their characteristics are not yet fully understood. On November 22, Ratan Tata , chairman of Tata Trusts, will be on hand to discuss it during the lectio Inauguralis of the Giovanni Agnelli Associate Professorship in Economics at Bocconi.

The professorship was established in April thanks to the Giovanni Agnelli Foundation to contribute to the advancement of research in applied economics . The first to receive the award is Prof. Chiara Fumagalli , who will give a speech on Understanding Business Groups.After greetings from Mario Monti, President of Bocconi, and Andrea Sironi, Rector, the lectio will be introduced by John Elkann , vice president of the Fondazione Giovanni Agnelli . Discussion will follow with Marco Pagano, president of Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance . Ratan Tata will be interviewed by the Deputy Director of the Sole- 24 Ore , Alexander Plateroti .
