Radio Bocconi Has Got an App

, by Andrea Celauro, translated by Alex Foti
The new app devoted to the students' web radio is freely downloadable. It enables to listen to and view live broadcasts and interact with DJs via Facebook chat

"There's an app for everything" says Apple about the iPhone. Now Radio Bocconi has its own app too, thanks to the collaboration between the students' web radio and devAPP.it, the Italian community of coders for mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, and Android). The app is already available for free on the Apple Store and it will soon also be available for Android smartphones.
The core of the application is unsurprisingly the audio player, which has been enriched by various functions. In addition to show the data of the program being broadcasted, the player allows access to the two webcams capturing life within the radio's studios and integrates facebook chat to talk with the radio's speakers and DJs. The Radio Bocconi app also has a suite of contents: the radio's blogs, podcasts, and the news section. If you click on "Social" you can access the radio's posts on Twitter, Facebook and Youtube. Finally there are useful links, such as the radio's programming schedule and the latest music charts, and an "about" section to contact the radio by email or phone.
