The insights by the forum 'Idee per la crescita' will be released, on Tuesday 25 March, by Giovanni Valotti and Nicola Bellè in a conference at the Presidency of the Council

Giovani Valotti, professor of Economics and management of public adminitrations, and Nicola Bellè, assistant professor at the Department of policy analysis and public management, will be the key speakers at "Una proposta di riforma della dirigenza della P.A. centrale" ("A proposal to reform central P.A. management" on Tuesday, 25 March, Rome, Sala polifunzionale della Presidenza del consiglio dei ministri, via di S. Maria in Via 37, 9:30 a.m.), a conference promoted by the forum "Idee per la crescita" (Ideas for Growth) and organized by the Scuola Nazionale dell'Amministrazione (SNA).

"Idee per la crescita" is a forum participated by Università Bocconi and Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance. The forum has drafted a proposal to reform central P.A. management which will be submitted to policymakers as a contribution to the current debate about the modernization of the country.

The main features of the proposal regard job contracts, the nature and term of office, recruitment and selection, appointments, evaluation, wage policies, incentives, the mapping and development of capabilities, the rules about responsibility and the constraints on firing employees.

After the welcome address by Giovanni Tria, SNA's president, and Guido Tabellini, Idee per la crescita's co-president, and the presentation of the proposal, a discussion will follow with Franco Bassanini, Cassa depositi e prestiti's president, Mauro Bonaretti, secretary general at the Presidency of the Council, Marcella Panucci, Confindustria's managing director.
