Ludovico Troncanetti began studying piano at 13 and later graduated from the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan. In 2009, he met with world-renowned pianist Leslie Howard, who offered to study with him in London. He has participated in masterclasses by pianists such as Andrea Lucchesini, Leslie Howard, Piero Narciso Masi and Henri Sigfridsson. As a soloist, he has performed at many leading venues. In March 2015, he played the Max Reger concerto Op. 114 and joined Leslie Howard in a two-piano concert of music by Liszt at the prestigious Reform Club in London. He made his 4-hands piano duo debut with Leslie Howard at a sold-out show in November 2016 at the Teatro dei Rozzi in Siena. In January 2018, again with Howard, he played the Italian premiere of Fantasy Op. 73 for two pianos by Anton Rubinstein. He has studied composition at the conservatory in Milan with Gianni Possio. A great admirer of music by the Hungarian genius Liszt, he often collaborates with Leslie Howard. They have worked on the Italian translation of the preface to the complete works of Liszt for the record company Hyperion, as well as the search for several copies of rare Liszt piano music. His wide-ranging repertoire ranges from Bach to the great composers of the early 1900s. He has also studied with Pier Narciso Masi in Flornece at the Centro Studi Musica e Arte.
