The PhD in Public Policy and Administration and the PhD in Legal Studies will be presented on Tuesday 17 September at the PhD Day

The Bocconi PhD School is going to welcome the new cohort of students and present its new programs on Tuesday 17 September (Room N03, piazza Sraffa 13, 3 p.m) at the PhD Day.

Starting in the academic year 2014-2015 the School offer will complement the long-standing PhDs in Economics and Finance, in Business Administration and Management and in Statistics with a brand new program in Public Policy and Administration and with a PhD in Legal Studies which merges two previous programs (the PhD in Business and Social Law and the PhD in International Law and Economics, which will shift from stand alone programs to tracks of the PhD in Legal Studies). All programs are taught in English, with the exception of parts of the Business and Social Law track, taught in Italian.

"The rising quality of the applicants and the good placement results in the international academic market are reasons of pride for the School", says the dean, Alfonso Gambardella.

The PhD School enrols 45-50 students every year, with a 55% share of applications and 40% of enrolments from foreign universities.

More than half of the graduates find a job abroad: 33% in the academia, 18% in other institutions.

Applicants undergo a very competitive selection process, whose prizes are not only the admission, but also the fellowships and tuition waivers awarded to many students, the opportunity to work part-time as research assistants and teaching assistants and a budget for studies and research activities provided to all students for the two final years of the programs.

At the PhD Day Alfonso Gambardella will present the School, while the single programs will be presented by Arnaldo Camuffo (PhD in Business Administration and Management's director), Ross Macmillan (PhD in Public Policy and Administration's director), Sonia Petrone (PhD in Statistics' director), Massimo Marinacci (PhD in Economics and Finance's director), Claudio Dordi (PhD in Legal Studies).
