Passera, a Bocconian in the Government

Mario Monti has assigned to the bank manager a multiple portfolio that combines the position of Minister of Economic Development with reponsibilitiy for Infrastructure and Transportation.
Corrado Passera, Bocconian of the Year in 2000, was among the ministers presented this morning by the newly-designated Prime Minister, Mario Monti, to President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano.
Passera was nominated Minister of Economic Development, Infrastructure and Transportation, concentrating under one figure competencies that reported to two ministries under the previous government.
Chief Executive Officer of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank, Passera has for years been a member of the Bocconi University Board.
Monti, in addition to the position of Prime Minister, will also cover ad interim the role of Economy Minister, in order to be a direct participant in a prestigious team charged with economic recovery.
