A Painting for an Education

The initiative will expand to include other works of art in the benefit sale in order to finance scholarships as part of the Una Scelta Possibile project. The project will continue into the future as artists make further donations

Università Bocconi's invitation to art enthusiasts has hit a bullseye. The "A Painting for an Education" initiative, which was launched on 20 January and entails a benefit sale of works of art donated by various artists that have exhibited at Bocconi starting in the '80s in order to support scholarships, has so far raised 52,000 euros.

The works of art, originally over 180 paintings, prints and sculptures, will be on display until 14 March in the Ristorante Bocconi. It will then move to ISU Bocconi, at Via Sarfatti 25, first floor, room 125. "The original catalogue will also be added to from time to time with works by artists aware of the initiative," explains ISU Bocconi Director, Salvatore Grillo, "and will continue to be expanded, while the benefit sale will continue in the future." The initiative has been promoted to contribute to funding "Una Scelta Possibile," a project geared towards deserving young people from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

The works on display, at prices much lower than market value, are by artists such as Emilio Isgrò, Floriano Tadini, Remo Brindisi, and Giuseppe Martinelli. To see the catalogue and make a purchase reservation: www.unibocconi.eu/unquadroperstudiare
