One Hundred Works of Art and the Music of Lang Lang for Bocconi Art Gallery
Colored pencils, steel, white marble, fabric, silicone, petroleum, playing cards, photo prints. Materials, styles and sizes that make up an eclectic panorama of contemporary art: this is the fifth edition of Bocconi Art Gallery (www.unibocconi.it/bag), that on 29 June, from 6 to 11pm, will offer a grand opening night to the public with artists, collectors and gallery owners in attendance. During the event, to seal the meeting of various art forms, there will also be an interview-concert with international pianist Lang Lang, in cooperation with Allianz.
A rich program once again for #BAG5, as for the past edition: in addition to freely visiting the works of contemporary art, starting at 6:30 until 9:30pm enthusiasts and the simply curious can follow one of the free guided tours, with departures every 20 minutes from the Velodrome building.
At 7pm, the meeting with the international pianist Lang Lang will be held. Chinese, born in 1982, he is considered one of the greatest interpreters of piano music in the world: his concerts have opened the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and the Milan Expo 2015. Lang Lang will be interviewed at the piano by the music critic and journalist for ViviMilano and Corriere della Sera, Gian Mario Benzing. A dialogue-concert with free admission but reservations are required online at this page: www.unibocconi.it/langlang.
Lang Lang will take the stage at Bocconi thanks to the collaboration between the University and Allianz, with which the pianist and his Foundation (Lang Lang International Music Foundation) maintains a close partnership in the name of culture and education and the promotion of music as a means global communications. In addition to a tour of Italy for the Chinese pianist in the season 2014/2015, the international partnership with the Allianz Group includes the project Allianz Junior Music Camp, now in its third edition.
