In Milan, the Capital of Erasmus
They come from all over Europe, more than 600 strong. Students in Milan will generate four days of discussions, meetings and workshops organized on the occasion of the Annual General Meeting ( AGM) of the Erasmus Student Network. It is one of the biggest interdisciplinary student associations in Europe, recognized by the European Commission and operating in 36 countries and over 400 universities.
This year, hosting the twenty-fifth edition of the AGM will be the City of Milan, April 3 to 6, and the event venues will be Bicocca and Bocconi University, where the closing gala dinner will be held on 6 April. Also involved are other universities in Milan: State University, Polytechnic, Cattolica and IULM. The first task of the delegates from all over Europe will be the election of the international board and the approval of amendments to statutes and rules of their Parliament .
" Erasmus Student Network will demonstrate how students, in this case students in Milan, are able to do something extraordinary: to bring together all the European institutions, Italian, regional and local to talk about Europe and the future of young people. Anyone who will participate even in a brief moment of this meeting will be amazed of what people who have invested their energy in the Erasmus program are able to do with the skills they acquired, "said Carlo Bitetto , President of ESN Italy .
In addition, the full program of meetings, workshops and debates witinternational designed to promote the mobility of young people as an antidote to the international crisis. Another topic on eveyone's mind will be the relationship between academia and the world of work; a European career day, on Saturday 5 April will be an opportunity to bring together businesses, organizations and graduate students in the Erasmus universities in Milan.

As a professor I've always pushed my students to seize all the possibilities for international mobility that the university offers them. As Rector I am working to ensure that all students can have at least one as part of their curriculum. Erasmus, along with all exchange programs, are experiences that change the life of a young person, broadening horizons and perspectives. A good university today is also judged by the international opportunities that it can offer its students. "
Having obtained the patronage of the Scientific Committee EXPO 2015, the AGM will take up the main themes of the event in Milan in 2015 , touching areas tied to tradition, creativity and innovation in the food sector.
Finally, the Let's Start Up contest will be launched to reward the best ideas for international start-ups in specific thematic areas of economic and social development .
