In March the Bocconi Musical Thursdays Continue

Starting March 12, four Thursday evening concerts to enjoy the notes of the great composers played by international artists. Opening the cycle of musical events is pianist Elisa D'Auria.

Pianist Elisa D'Auria, an artist from the school of Enrica Ciccarelli, will inaugurate the program for March (Thursday, March 12, in the auditorium of Via Gobbi, 9pm), of Thursday evenings at the piano at Bocconi, organized by ISU Bocconi in collaboration with Furcht Pianos.

The concert will be divided into two parts: the first part D'Auria will play the Fantasia in C major by Robert Schumann, in the second part, the public can enjoy pieces by Frederic Chopin , in particular Two Nocturnes Op. 62, Bolero Op. 19, Andante Spianato and Grand Polonaise Brillante, Op. 22. This is a special occasion to hear major works of great composers played by an Italian artist of international standing.

Elisa d'Auria is well known in the international music scene, after her debut in 1996 with a concert in Eurovision as the winner of the Mozart Prize. She has performed with orchestras in the major theaters of Europe, Asia and America. The guest artist of musical evenings of Bocconi has won over forty awards in national and international competitions: last happened in 2014 in California, where she was awarded the Natalie McFadden Memorial Award during the MAW Summer Festival which selects eight pianists around the world.

The second event will be Thursday March 27 with another artist from the school of Enrica Ciccarelli. This time it is a young pianist, Louis Borzillo who for his performance has prepared a lineup of first rate compositions: the Sonata in A Major K495, L25 by Domenico Scarlatti and the Sonata in D Major K311 by WA Mozart will fill first part of the program, while Chopin, Liszt and Prokofiev will be on the program for the second part of the soirée.

Musical Thursdays in the Aula Magna in Via Gobbi will also continue in April with pianist Chen Guang, another student of the Ciccarelli School, who will play music by Schubert, and Rachmaninov on 9 April, and finally with Alessandro Martire, young composer and pianist, who on 23 April will present several works of his own.
