A Luminous Season at Bocconi
Today, Monday February 1 at 6pm, the exhibition of the painter Edoardo Fraquelli will be opened. The works displayed range from 1980 to 1995, an intense and happy period of the master's production.
Born in Lombardy in 1933, Edoardo Fraquelli came from Tremezzo on Lake Como. After years of difficulties, at age 47 he began a second life, happier and sunnier, which he continued until his death in 1995.
"The Luminous Season" is the theme of the painting exhibition (works 1980-1995), in which that adjective takes on a double meaning. The colors are concentrated on the yellow, the ocher, the white, the pink and almost impose a light-toned palette. But it is also luminous because it is the artist's most productive period, expressively his happiest moment.
The exhibition will be inaugurated today at 6pm (dining room and lounge foyer), and will be open until 18 March. Free admission Monday-Saturday from 9am to 12 noon.
