Killer Kreutzer Rock Then and Now
To usher in the New Year, concerts will be held at Bocconi, starting Thursday, Jan. 14 at 9pm in the Aula Magna at Via Gobbi with the duo of Maistorovici Vlad on violin and Dario Bonuccelli on piano. Rock yesterday and today will be interpreted by the two musicians with sonata no. 9 op.47 for violin and piano "A Kreutzer" by Ludwig van Beethoven and the transcription for violin and piano of some of the most famous songs of Queen.
Vlad and Dario, both born in 1985 - one day apart - met in 2003 at the International Festival of Blaj (Romania). There they had the opportunity to play together and immediately found a perfect musical and personal understanding.
Maistorovici Vlad was born in Romania, graduated from the Yehudi Menuhin School in London and he studied at the London Royal College of Music in violin with Felix Andrievsky and composition with Jonathan Cole and Mark Anthony Turnage. He continued his violin studies with Pierre Amoyal in Lausanne, where he graduated in 2014.
Dario Bonuccelli trained with Luciano Lanfranchi and graduated in piano in 2004 at the "N. Paganini "in Genoa, with top marks, cum laude and honorable mention. He then completed a Master in performance from the same school. concert with Marco Vincenzi. He also has a degree in composition and since 2010 is professor of piano at the Edward Neill Academy in Genoa.
The concert is organized by the Student Affairs Division ISU Bocconi in collaboration with Furcht Pianos. Free admission.
