A Helping Hand at Christmas
Used clothing in good condition, non-perishable food (in cans and boxes), toys, baby food and diapers. These are the things that the Ethica Club of the MBA at SDA Bocconi is asking of the Bocconi community, faculty, staff and teachers – to donate to the charitable organization called Pane Quotidiano.
Pane Quotidiano ('daily bread') was founded in Milan in 1898 with the aim of assuring food – starting from bread – to the poor in the city's population. Every day, in the two branches it has in Milan, the association distributes for free food to around 2,500/3,000 people. www.panequotidiano.eu/
Donations can be left every day until December 12 at the SDA Bocconi building in via Balilla 18, at the Box 40 located on the main floor.
"We wanted to give concrete and practical help to a small, local organization and Pane Quotidiano fits perfectly," explains Narmina Conzatti, an American MBA candidate at SDA and President of the Ethica Club. "This year in fact apart from the traditional meeting and debates on topics of ethics, CSR and sustainability we also want to put into practice concrete gestures and forge a giving community. In February, for example, we will organize a Valentine's Day fundraiser gala for the benefit of the Make a Wish Foundation."
