Francesco Billari new vice-rector of development
Francesco Billari, full professor of demographics, has been appointed vice-rector of development; Marco Agliati, full professor of business administration, who used to be delegate rector, has become vice-rector of rectorate affairs, while the tasks of Michele Polo, vice-rector of organization, have been redefined.
The vice-rector of development - the new office held by Francesco Billari - manages the fund-raising activities, both for the external promotion and the accountability to the donors, connects the faculty to the alumni, fosters and manages the acquisition of research funds along with the vice-rector of research.
The vice-rector of rectorate affairs (whose tasks were partially carried out until now by Marco Agliati himself as delegate rector) supervises the rectorate projects, supports the rector in coordinating the collective bodies' meetings. He is the rector's delegate in the relations with the staff and the students. Agliati takes over the rector's jurisdiction regarding students disciplinary measures.
The tasks of the vice-rector of organization, Michele Polo, evolve: he'll design and manage the valuation of the departments and teaching (teaching awards included) and will monitor the departments' projects and the evolution of the faculty.
