En Route Toward the World

Almost three hundred students, including 8 from MISB Bocconi, are departing for Campus Abroad summer 2013. They are headed for several countries, and will be discovering new horizons of study and life experience

Departure is set for Sunday 7 July, with return on the 27th: 289 Bocconi students will fly off this year for the various destinations in Asia and North America that are involved in this summer's edition of Campus abroad 2013, the program of brief sudy periods abroad organized by the University.

The 289 students come from Bocconi's Bachelor (123) , Master of Science (132) and Law programs (26) and, for the first time, from Mumbai International School of Business Bocconi (8 students).

Four destinations await the Bachelor students, three in North America and one in Asia. At Georgetown University in Washington, the students will attend a course in international project finance taught by Prof. Emanuele Borgonovo (Bocconi) together with George Comer and David Walker (GU). In Chicago, at Northwestern University, Tommy Murphy (Bocconi) and Lori Beaman (NWU) will teach development economics to a class of 28 students, while over in Vancouver, at Simon Fraser University, lessons will deal with management of fashion companies, held by Erica Corbellini (Bocconi), Paola Varacca (Bocconi) and June Francis (SFU). And in Shanghai students will stop in at Fudan University to work on product management with Gaia Rubera (Bocconi) and Pierre Lu (Fudan).

Students from Bocconi's MSc and Law programs, and those from MISB Bocconi, will be divided up amongst Montreal, Beijing, Singapore, New York and Los Angeles. The partner school in the canadian city is McGill University, where the students will dig into the fields of structured and project finance with Stefano Gatti and Stefano Zorzoli (Bocconi) and Ruslan Goyenko (MCG). In Beijing, Chiara Mosca and Andrea Giannelli (Bocconi) will teach banking law at Tsinghua University, while at the National University of Singapore a course in comparative business history will be held by Andrea Colli and Valentina Binda (Bocconi) and by Marleen Dieleman (NUS). The two destinations in the USA, where the 8 students from MISB will also go, include a course in international institutions & NGOs in New York, taught by Alex Turrini and Greta Nasi (Bocconi) and by Dennis Smith (New York University), and one on digital marketing and advanced e-commerce in Los Angeles held by Margherita Pagani and Cristian Chizzoli (Bocconi) with George Geis (UCLA).
