Employment through Social Media

A virtual space to gather students and bring them closer to the Bocconi services dealing with job orientation and placement, and to collect initiatives and events, tips and news on the theme. From this idea is born "Bocconi Career Services", a Facebook group reserved for Bocconi students, managed by Verena Battaglia and Francesca Nava, who both work in the University's Market Division.

"We wanted to take a further step to get closer to students, to better understand and satisfy their information needs and to offer a greater visibility and accessibility to the many initiatives organized by Bocconi," explains Verena, who, however, emphasizes that this new channel will not replace the classic mode of interaction with the University Career Service.

There will be references not only to dates on the career theme, such as the next Investment Bank Days scheduled for the end of September, and to recruiting events, "but also news and updates on the job market, practical tips, for example on how to prepare good curricula and motivation letters, alumni and students' experiences and much more," adds Francesca. "It's a new adventure for us too, we can't wait to share our initiatives on Facebook, read the comments and accompany our students into the world of work with the help of this new tool".
