EJOR's Editorial Board at Bocconi
On Friday April 27th and Saturday 28th, Bocconi hosted the annual meeting of the board of European Journal of Operational Research (EJOR). The participarts where Roman Slowinski (coordinating editor, from Politechnika Poznanska), Robert G. Dyson (Warwick University), Jean-Charles Billaut (Université de Tours), Immanuel Bomze (Universitaet Wien), Lorenzo Peccati and Emanuele Borgonovo (Bocconi). The group was joined on Saturday by Jessica Biggs from Elsevier.
The agenda of the meeting was focused on some organization details of the activity of the Board, on the possibility to extend to all the Journals of Elsevier the rating of reviewers introduced with success for EJOR (proposal by Emanuele Borgonovo and Lorenzo Peccati), on how to handle the increasing refusal of several scholars in accepting to review papers for journals of Elsevier, owing to the price policies of Elsevier.
During the meeting, the Board learned with pleasure that, according to the international rating agency SCIMAGO, in the area of "Decision Sciences" EJOR appears to be in first place as concerns the absolute number of citations and the very popular h-index. In second place in these rankings is a world-reputed journal like Management Science.
