Crypto currencies and bitcoins, are you ready to pay with a click?
The charm of being able to use money with a click and forgetting about paper bills, coins and also credit card codes. This is the scenario deriving from the idea of crypto currencies and bitcoins in particular, the electronic money that is conquering the attention in United States.
The student association Tech@B wants to introduce and talk further about this phenomenon, talking mentioning eventual European scenarios too. To do this, on November 4Th they have organized the event "Bocconi Bit Talks: how crypto currencies are changing the world?", at 4.40 pm in Aula Notari. Crypto currencies and bitcoins are electronic and digital currencies that can be used, for now, to buy things and services on dedicated internet websites.
As Chiara Aina, Vice President of Tech@Bocconi and student of International Management, told us: "We have organized a conference on this topic because it's currently very discussed and it's a theme that can interest every major for the ramifications it could have in the future. It's a topic close to everyone and we hope it can help to make, people and students in particular, more sensitive to the technology world". Several personalities will speak at the conference: Thomas Bertani, founder of BitBoat, one of the platforms through which people can buy bitcoins in Italy; Vasilije Markovic, journalist of Crypto Coins News (in the picture); Luca Fantacci, a Bocconi professor; Andreas Lehrbaum, COO of Exchange24 and Lawrence Nahum, CEO of Green Address. Christian Miccoli, president of Che Banca!, will be the moderator.
This will be the first event organized by the association Tech@Bocconi, that was created in February. "Technology is becoming more and more fundamental for companies. For this reason we thought it would be useful, for a university like Bocconi, to have an association willing to talk about technological issues", explains Chiara Aina.
