Two major research projects, independent but related to each other, are presenting their results on a single occcasion at the conference " Crisis, employment , poverty. Social inclusion from EU to the cities " of Thursday 29 May (Sala Lauree, Università Statale, Via Conservatorio 7, from 9:30am ). On the one hand, the project Cope - Combating Poverty in Europe, carried out in Italy 's Università Bocconi and the University of Milan, which deals with the fight against poverty in the stricter sense, and on the other the project Localise, which involves a consortium of European universities including Bocconi as the leader, and focuses on the research work and social policy issues that are intertwined with those of Cope.
Prof. Paolo Graziano (Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management ) led the work and explains that " Localise is a three-year project, which began in July 2011. We have studied and analyzed the evolution of social cohesion in European cities under the aspects of work and social care. A total of18 cases were brought to the study, three for each country that participated in the project, namely Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Sweden and Scotland. In particular, Bocconi researchers have focused attention on the situation in Milan, Rome and Naples." The meeting of 29 May will be an opportunity to give the results of these three years back to local administrators and stakeholders who participated in the research study.
