The Coro Bocconi Flies to New York
Coro Bocconi, a reality made up of students, alumni, lecturers and staff members, has been invited to perform at the David Geffen Hall of the Lincoln Center in New York, at the "Viva La Musica de Argentina" event on April 30 at 7pm . The group of 15 performers who will represent the choir is warming their vocal cords for the concert, which will see them performing Ariel Ramírez's Misa Criolla, along with other choirs from Argentina, France, Spain, Denmark, Germany, Poland and the US.
"We are so excited, being invited to participate in such an important event is an honor, especially because many of us, like me, started singing with the Bocconi Choir," says Sara Isabella Scuri, a student in her third year of International Economics and Management (BIEM) and president of the choir since 2016. "We are already a close-knit group, but I'm sure our bond will grow even more by sharing this adventure."
"Coro Bocconi received this invitation because of the quality and high level of musicianship demonstrated by the singers", says the invitation sent by Distinguished Concerts International New York City (DCINY), which each season organizes international music events, involving several music realities from all over the world. "It is not our only exhibition outside of Italy," says Martina Zambelli, director of the choir since 2011, "We have a concert in Nice next year."
