The Colored Geometry of Aurelio Sirtorio

, by Benedetta Ciotto
The Milanese painter's exhibition will be inaugurated at Bocconi on November 9 at 6 pm

From 9 November to 8 January, the restaurant hall of via Sarfatti 25 will host an exhibition of paintings by Aurelio Sirtorio.

The artist, born in 1964, lives and works in Milan. His artworks are the result of the juxtaposition of thick and tight colored stripes. These stripes take horizontal, vertical and diagonal directions. The final effect is a geometry of colored twists.

The project consists of the exhibition of different paintings, outside and inside the restaurant. The main piece, thought for this exhibit in particular, is an installation made of 10 panels of 1x1 meter. The panels reproduce digitally-elaborated images realized with the details of the paintings hung outside the restaurant. All this resulting in a project that recall the works of art by Sirtorio and other potential "paintings" to be searched in the details

The exhibition is open from Monday to Saturday, 9am – 12 pm. Entrance is free.
