In the clay court temple
There where Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova a few weeks ago won their Slams, on the courts of the legendary Roland Garros, it will be the turn of Bocconi students to challenge colleagues of the most prestigious schools of Europe. The tennis team of the Bocconi Sport Team will in fact take part, from October 3 to 5, in the 9th edition of the HEC European Clay Court Tournament, a team competition, a sort of university Davis Cup. The formula foresees a mens single, ladies single and mixed double. Four the selected athletes: among the men Mattia Prodomo and Lorenzo Capucci, among the ladies Giulia Cecchi and Francesca Bellosi, who last year triumphed in the Bocconi Tennis Tournament, and then in May won the EuroValencia.
"The experience our athletes will live will be complete," explains the president of Bocconi Sport Team, Alessandro Ciarlo, "since not only will they step on courts on which the best players in the world usually tread but they will also experience the whole structure, from the restaurant to the changing rooms, including a guided visit to the Roland Garros Museum".
