Caselli as Artist and as Entrepreneur. The Two Sides of a Good Musical Product
The next meeting organized for the cycle "Performing Arts", with the participation of Caterina Caselli, will be held on November 16 at 12.30 pm in aula N36. "It is a perfect example of how musical talent must be sustained by a manager, since Caterina is a singer and a musical entrepreneur at the same time" says Andrea Rurale, marketing professor and coordinator of the series of meetings on the performing arts. Giovanni Caccamo, singer under contract with the record label Sugar (managed by Caselli), will be at the meeting, in representation of a concrete case history of her managerial path. So pop music is the theme of this date, as contrast to the following one, planned on November 19, with Ruben Jais, director of the Orchestra Verdi. Students will thus have the opportunity to participate in two meetings focused on two cultural products, similar at first glance, but that are actually characterized by different dynamics and backgrounds.
The cycle of meetings "Performing Arts", part of the initiative "Sapere a tutto campo", is aimed at discussing with prominent figures in the world of art and culture, who will talk about what makes success and what makes the beauty of a work of art. "We are talking about artistic experiences where emotion is clear, but how much sense is required to manage this emotion and to turn it into a valued product? This is the topic", explains Andrea Rurale.
On November 24 the guest will be Oliviero Toscani, photographer and creator of advertising campaigns, famous for his unconventional style and for his regular use of shocking images. "If you know how to dare, you'll have fun. More than 50 years of amazing failures" is the name of the lesson, with Severino Salvemini and Andrea Rurale, during which Toscani will reveal the secret codes behind the images that becomes an icon.
