Bocconi University and the Discovery of Numbers

Mathematics is not just a discipline, it is a crucial resource for interpreting and understanding the world around us and of whose knowledge can be applied to various fields: from economics to finance, up to computer science. This is the reason why Bocconi University has decided to celebrate the importance of mathematics and the quantitative sciences with an event, planned on March 4. "Numbers" is an education day dedicated to mathematics and thought for high school students. Over 500 participants attending their third, fourth or fifth year of high school will come to the event. The day will start at 10am, in the aula Magna of via Roentgen, with four short lectures on the use of mathematics, statistics and computer science in today's world, with a particular focus on business, finance and social sciences. In the afternoon, participants will have the possibility to show their analytical skills, attitude, and creativity in the course of one of the different interactive workshops.

Applications are closed for the event of March 4, but given the large number of participants the event will be repeated on April 15. Applications are already open at this link.
